• A significant part of my practice has been representing civil rights plaintiffs and whistleblowers under state and federal laws.

• I have represented clients in cases involving admiralty and maritime law, including maintenance and cure.   

• I have helped numerous clients navigate complex issues involving municipal law, including challenges to ordinances, ordinance violations, as well as challenges to state and municipal agency actions.

• I have taken the lead in employment litigation under Title VII and the Tennessee Human Rights Act ("THRA"), tackling complex issues of discrimination, civil rights, retaliation, and constitutional law.   My experience extends to the nuances of corporate law, business law, overtime and wage and hour disputes under the Fair Labor Standards Act ("FLSA"), , as well as administrative law , civil service appeals for government employees, and administrative claims against the State of Tennessee.  
  
• I have helped clients succeed in contract litigation and unjust enrichment, including litigating issues of contract law related to employment, such as non-compete clauses in employment agreements.  
  
• I have helped clients navigate their case through the rough waters of maritime and admiralty law, from claims under the Jones Act, to claims for maintenance and cure for employees injured in the course of their employment while operating on navigable waterways.  
  
• I have experience with handling all types of tort cases, including negligence, personal injury, slip and fall, premises liability, wrongful death, defamation (libel and slander), tortious interference, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy, products liability, Consumer Protection Act claims, unjust enrichment cases.
